BarFly's Review of Agenda
Formerly, Steinhaus.
Tired blues bar, Steinhaus, gets a top to bottom makeover, and morphs into a rock club. Owned by the boys behind nearby Roscoe's. Still getting its legs, but shows promising signs. Spacious smoking patio. Pinball x 3, pool x 1.
$3.50 well, $4 micro, $2 domestics, regularly.
Open 3pm-2:30am Monday-Saturday. Dark Sundays.
Live bands Fridays and Saturdays, cover usually less than $5.
Wednesdays: free pool.
All pints (including micros) $2, 3pm-8pm, Monday-Saturday.
I walked in and they were playing one of my favorite bands really loud. Ordered a beer for $3 and ventured out to the patio for a smoke. It wasn't busy there but everyone in the place seemed cool and up for conversation. Said they had a band playing later, wish I would've stayed. I don't know why this bar isn't more popular, it's nice and cheap. I will be back.
Because I live in the neighborhood and don't usually want to drive all the way to Stark for a decent bar, I tend to choose Agenda for a beer and some quick food.
In my opinion, their new format kicks ass over how the Steinhaus was laid out. Getting rid of the video poker also got rid of the tweaker riff raff that crawled in and out of there. Yes they are potentially losing revenue but the quality of their patrons have improved and they've opened up their format for live music. That's a fair trade off in my book.
this place blows Rob Schneider for fudge cicles. The bartenders are dicks the bands suck, there's bums always hanging out front asking for shit every time you go out side to smoke, there was a shooting within the first 20 minutes i was there, the bartenders girl friend kept hitting on me and the bartender was drinking on the job and tried to fight me. me and a handful of people (the whole bar) left after this. horrible HORRIBLE experience.
Hey G, same owners different name. I'm glad they have live music again, that's all good, but they have nothing else to offer when there is no music. I stopped in a few times during the daytime, but no ones there. Seems all the regulars are gone and no one else comes in, It's just dead. I guess they don't care.
been twice since the re-open, first time boring blue grassy something kinda music, UGH. this past saturday, Thunderstruck rocked the place. The service was great, the drinks were cheap, the music rocked, please turn up the air though, it was so hot the walls were sweating. Keep the rock music coming and you'll keep packing the place. Personally I could care less about video poker not being there, I don't think there's room honestly. At my husband's request, he'd like to see some better microbrews on tap, the three we tried were nasty.
When a new owner takes over a bar the state makes them wait about 3 months before they can install lottery games. Just gamble at Hung Far Low in the meantime.
I see nothing wrong with change, sometimes that's a good thing, but why would you want to drive out your loyal customers by taking away video poker, keno and video games that they played? That's money lost, not to mention all the money they spent on booze, $1000.00's lost every month because of these idiots. I don't get it.
don't work for these c@cks..the owners have screwed everyone that has worked for them..i have never heard of any employer challenge every employees unemployment claim..don't worry the state no longer listen to them due to "blatant lies"..sour grapes you could say, i don't care.they asked me to rat on other employees which is so p?ssy then they made up stuff that i said to the employee(s)-"haggy said you did...." stein haus was shittty but they ran it into the ground. corporate dudes without the brains
