Willie's rocks. Plain and simple. Like another reviewer I am a female and often go out dancing by myself. I always have fun at Willie's. I'm not a great dancer but I am getting better. The dancing is not about showing off it's about having fun. The more fun you have the more you are going to dance. Don't be intimidated by the regular crowd. The food is good, the drinks are good, the bartenders are fast! The live bands are great but the dj music is just as good. The staff is friendly and competent. I'd recommend Willie's for anyone whether you like to dance or not. If you like to watch there is some great eye candy!

It was ok, it's like a caferteria/bar. They should bus the tables more. Too much ice in the Margies. But I'd go back.

Aztec Willie is one of the best salsa venues around! Saturday nights are fantastic! The dance floor is large and the crowd is a nice mix of serious salseros and those just learning or out to watch and enjoy. There's a bar for the non-dancers to hide in, while still being part of the action. Plus, they have a full late night menu of (what else?) Mexican food. As a single girl who often goes dancing by herself I always feel safe and comfortable at Aztec Willie's. I never feel pressured by unwanted attention, although that's not to say that there aren't people there looking for a hook up if that's what you want. Added bonus, it's one of the more diverse crowds I've seen at any bar/club in Portland. Definitely worth checking out!
