Pleasant addition to Belmont, this straight-ahead joint might seem outgunned with just the four taps, but really, Portland, must you be so constantly malted? Every time we’ve been we’ve come away happily soused on bespoke cocktails and were goddamn grateful for it. Run hiccup-free by cool froods who really know where their towels are, it shares a kitchen (although is not to be confused) with the adjoining cafe. Already gaining a measure of notoriety for their Birds and The Bees special of a shot of Old Crow and a Mickey’s grenade, not to mention everyday SIN pricing.

I was super excited when the Bare Bones opened! It's close to my house and has a good bar staff. However, something is missing. My friends and I keep going there and we keep feeling the same way. We want to love you but we can't. Maybe we're just not hip enough..
I just love this bar! Sally and Lance rock! There are other people working there but I do not know their names...yet! The food is SO GOOD!!! I would even say it is ORGASMIC!!! I had to order seconds of the sliders I tried last night. The Tomato soup is Great!

Very nice space, comfy, dark in the way you want a bar to be. Only two taps as of yet, with two more on the way, hopefully before too much longer, and a decent selection of bottled beers. Haven't tried any of the cocktails yet. Good food menu from the kitchen of the cafe next door, apparently no deep fryer, though. A little on the noisy side, could use something to break up the noise a bit. Still pretty new, and getting their bearings, but definitely worth checkin' out. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Will probably shake out as one of the better bars in SE once they've got the details hammered out.
i really wish i hadn't just eaten before i arrived here, as the menu was incredibly enticing and beyond reasonably priced. i am so looking forward to coming back, and will do so as soon as possible.
stiff drinks, super-friendly bartenders, and a beautiful space. i'd be lucky to be a regular here!
