BarFly's Review of Bucket Brigade Saloon
Great friendly bar populated with more normal folk than other places this close to 82nd Ave. Friendly staff. Nice patio, with silly toilet and urinal planters! Lots of games.21 taps. Pool x1. .25-.50 off all 4-6.

I mean, seriously...this bar is...ummm.....it's.....good. They have video crack and a pool table and plenty of TV's. That's a good thing!
It also has.......alcohol......did I mention TV's?
The best way I can describe this place is that when you're in that atmosphere, you're thinking...I'm in a bar?
Ok, there's nothing special about this place. Nothing.
The drinks are poured adequately and are priced as such. The happy hour deals are good, if not spectacular. The food is ok. The staff is ok. The layout of the bar is ok, but not ideal. It's all just so...average.
This wouldn't gall me the way it does if there were even a fraction of an ounce of character to the place. Sure, it's called the Bucket Brigade, and there's a couple firehouse-type items on the walls in places. But there's really no attempt to do any kind of a theme here. It's a basic, build-your-own-sports-bar setup.
Let me put it this way. If this place was your basement, you'd think it was fucking awesome. As a bar, it disappoints. Really, unless your car breaks down there or you live right next door, what's the point?
I guess if you're already there and you don't have anything better to do that particular day, there's no reason not to hang out for a bit.
Did I mention they have liquor? Cause they do.
My husband and I went to the Bucket Brigade for the first time this weekend and had a great time. We ordered the Chicken Penne pasta which was awesome! They had live music and a magician, too! Highly recommended!
Best gizzards in town, if you are in to gizzards. They slow cook them and they literally melt in your mouth. Lot's of TVs too, great place to watch your favorite game.
The PBR's were cold, the food was very good, and the service was great. On top of it all there were some hot babes to chat with.
their burgers are awesome. all char-broiled and delicious. you can also substitute a blackened chicken breast for the hamburger...for no extra money. the blackened chicken is delicious. service is sometimes a bit pokey, but always nothing but super friendly. and yeah, given that it's on powell at 82nd, the clientele is pretty normal. shocking.
I "discovered" this place when I was getting my brakes fixed down the street and had some time to waste. They've got the most amazing garlic fries I've ever had. They're thinner than normal fries dusted with some kind of seasoning/herb/garlic mix and parmesan cheese. Truly, I'd drive across town for these.
