BarFly's Review of Buffalo Gap
Ramshackle roadhouse, cobbled together from the remnants of a century-old former brothel and rooming house, scatters bars and lounges over two floors. Open air balcony deck and patio areas are popular year round. Amiable early 20s to mid-30s crowd predominates.
Live music trends toward the inoffensive, softish indie-rock variety. Unusually extensive vodka selection (over 25 different kinds; Saturday morning's Bloody Mary Bar is a great time to taste-test [10am-3pm]). Nice smoking patio upstairs. Non-smoking patio downstairs)

Fulton Street Pub
The only reason I go to the Gap is to catch the occasional Tony Smiley show in the attic. That being said, the place is really well-run, the service is spot-on and friendly, the food is good and the price is right for the portions (huge). The crowd is generally low-key Southwesters and some post-jocks, so hipsters might feel like fish out of Mississippi waters.
+: Food is brought out by multiple waiters (if necessary) so you get it hot n' fresh. —: Drinks are a bit on the weak side. But hey, I'm not friends w/ the BT.
I love the fish and chips. And their breakfast is the best in the city. My only complaint is I can't always sit under the buffalo on a Friday or Saturday night. I love that buffalo.
I like this bar. Great selection of drinks and the cocktails are made correctly. Live music upstairs and a bustling crowd downstairs where you can have a good time and maybe meet some cool people. Food was pretty damn good too as far as bar food goes, portions are large and it tastes good. I was here for my 21st birthday and they treated me great, and didn't cut me off even though I had a good 10+ drinks. I wasn't too drunk though so it was a good move on their part, if they had cut me off I would probably would not have gone back but now i'm a frequent customer. If any owners are reading this don't blame your bartenders for overserving me, they used perfect discretion as I wasn't out of control at all and ended up just having a great time. Plus I had a DD.
I like the Buffalo Gap - it's got live music upstairs most weekends, a little loud, but fun. Downstairs there's pool and TVs and a little outside patio that's nice in the summer.
I love this bar . I love every bar ! i find this to be a classy place for clowning out and meeting some ladies. I really go for the potato skins ... but the sluts aren't bad either . If you see me at the Gap , gimme a kiss , guy or girl !
