BarFly's Review of Buffalo Gap

Ramshackle roadhouse, cobbled together from the remnants of a century-old former brothel and rooming house, scatters bars and lounges over two floors. Open air balcony deck and patio areas are popular year round. Amiable early 20s to mid-30s crowd predominates. Live music trends toward the inoffensive, softish indie-rock variety. Unusually extensive vodka selection (over 25 different kinds; Saturday morning's Bloody Mary Bar is a great time to taste-test [10am-3pm]). Open 7am-2:30am M-F, 8am-2:30am Sat, 9am-2:30am Sun. $3.50 well and micros regularly. Full menu served till closing. Pool x3, MegaTouch, GoldenTee. $1.50-$3.95 menu 4-6pm & 10-cl M-F. Mondays: Competitive Open Mic (winner gets a contract gig on a regular night). Tuesdays: Karaoke. Wednesdays: Pint Night w/Intervision 5. Tuesdays-Saturdays: Bands play upstairs. Never a cover.

Viva la Gap!

I love the fish and chips. And their breakfast is the best in the city. My only complaint is I can't always sit under the buffalo on a Friday or Saturday night. I love that buffalo.

Lively little bar

I like this bar. Great selection of drinks and the cocktails are made correctly. Live music upstairs and a bustling crowd downstairs where you can have a good time and maybe meet some cool people. Food was pretty damn good too as far as bar food goes, portions are large and it tastes good. I was here for my 21st birthday and they treated me great, and didn't cut me off even though I had a good 10+ drinks. I wasn't too drunk though so it was a good move on their part, if they had cut me off I would probably would not have gone back but now i'm a frequent customer. If any owners are reading this don't blame your bartenders for overserving me, they used perfect discretion as I wasn't out of control at all and ended up just having a great time. Plus I had a DD.

Live music

I like the Buffalo Gap - it's got live music upstairs most weekends, a little loud, but fun. Downstairs there's pool and TVs and a little outside patio that's nice in the summer.
