Chill Place

First club I ever went to when I moved to Portland. I was spoiled my first time. I moved from NYC where dancing is taken seriously, and the DJ's are usually pretty good. People actually dance and have a good time. Pretty chill vibe. You get your small groups of hipsters and douches but for the most part, it seems to be a soulful intelligent dance oriented crowd. Most times I've been there it's been dub steppish type stuff, live guest Dj's touring through. Not your usual top 40, techno, lame crap.

worst.service.EVER

we walked in (2 of us) and waited patiently for the BT to ignore us and serve his friends. after waiting 10 min, the BT served everyone else in the bar, and then sat down and played poker, without so much as asking if we wanted to be served. it was 8 pm on a tuesday, and not busy. he saw us, made eye contact, and decided we didn't deserve service. i will never, ever go back. maybe, but only to put gum in the BT's hair.

Crown Room

Been coming here since it opened. It was great to begin with but now with all the opening week kinks worked out the place really rocks! Nice and relaxed in the later afternoon to early evening, and hopping come the evening (the Wed night Elvis show is a thing to behold).

Great Atmosphere

Lots of deep dark booths to sink into. Perfect for meeting friends after work. Food is way above average. Servers and bartenders are nice. Drinks are good. Two thumbs up.

BT ROCKS

Went in on Tuesday evening for happy hour - the bartender was the coolest guy ever - super sweet - helpful, and kind of cute? Anyway - decent place - good prices. Although I don't enjoy smoking outside -

happy hour?

This place is cool-good food, good staff and smoke free! The only thing i would change is they need to step up their happy hour. The drink deals are weak the only discount on cocktails they give is $2 off a list of dinks that cost $7 and up. Well drinks are the same all the time and why pay over $4 for a rum and coke when I can go right around the corner to East or Tube and get the same thing for $2? Don't get me wrong I still dig the bar but it's not a happy hour destination.
