An extensive rehab of a well-used, early-1900s commercial building (at various points, a drug store, and a series of restaurants, including it's last previous incarnation, Niki's Greek), has produced a lovely new bar crafted to look old.
Large horseshoe bar is one of the longest rails in Portland. Wrap-around windows provide ample people-watching (mostly of your fellow bar-goers, enjoying the sidewalk tables). Exposed, impressively old-growth, rough-hewn beam ceiling.
Bar menu features many local spirits (Portland's 'Distillery Row' lies only blocks away), in creative house concoctions (the owner/operators are all longtime bartenders of good repute).
Mellow, younger, hipster crowd.

I loved the sangria...I was charging my cell, multi-tasking with my younger friend and trying to make multiple plans with her and my man child partner....wondering since there is no phone number...Is my cell still there?
