Surviving the gauntlet of intimidating regulars holding court in this yellow cinder block tavern long enough to order your second beer requires deference to age, good humor, and a spine not easily bent. Once granted a temporary visitor pass, odds are you will still not be invited to sit at the round table where the royalty of the roost are content to argue over who holds the over-sized remote and re-hash the glory of recently won video poker jackpots.
