BarFly's Review of Free House

This bar is pretty much an advertisement for wood and the texture of wood, with corners unshaved and the craftsmanship forefronted--as if the proprietor had OD’d on i:d and Dwell magazines and just couldn’t help herself.

In any case, there’s not much else going on in this strip of Fremont besides the County Cork, so a friendly design-hippie watering hole with small plates and classic-style cocktails is much welcomed.

Happy hour’s the standard buck off a drink. It doubles as a good refuge for a casual date, with some high nooks to hide in.
