BarFly's Review of Hour Glass Pub
Glisan drivers know this place for advertising their “Chicken Little Fried Chicken” from the roadside--this is Hour Glass’s ghetto-cute title for the tiny, dirty kitchen that leads into a video-poker barn full of hard-luckers and close-talkers whose personal hourglasses all seem to be spilling sand. How best to describe it? Not Quite 82nd, But You Can Smell It. Let's all get tattoos.
Fie upon those who doubt their Broasted chicken, but none can argue with the cheap, stiff-to-the-point-of-Windex drinks. The pool table is $3/hour--best, of course, if you’re the sort who’s dedicated enough to the game for the rent to make sense—we ourselves are too distractible and shabby, and get better than that at $.75 a game before we wander off to stare at shiny things.
7am-2:30am 7 days a week--so what to do with those 5+ hours during which you can't play video poker? Turns out there's a late-night hot tub joint down the street.
TV x5, pool x1, darts x2, Megatouch x1, and you better believe video crack at the maximum allowable x6.

Strong cheep ass drinks. Too well lit but all the better so see the hot bartender they have in there on at least Tuesday nights. And the chicken is killer. The place is dirty but I'm not afraid of a little dirt. There are definitely better spots in town but if you are in the area its a decent dingy dive.
Are the main attractions at this local bar. Like the big sign outside mentions, they serve fried chicken. Which wasn't all that bad either. The bad parts were mostly the slow, shitty service and all the crack heads and/or meth heads wandering around playing video poker. It actually seemed pretty mellow in there considering the mix of idiots that were in there drinking together. Maybe that's because the drinks weren't very strong either.
