Actually, I have no politely disagree with the previous review posted. I'm sorry that they had a bad experience there, though, because it is truly a special little neighborhood place. It's cozy, and quirky, and has some stellar menu items. The pesto grilled cheese with garlic sauce is spectacular, and they can always be counted on to have interesting beer on tap and good wine selections. Their happy hour is every day until 7pm (except Sundays, when they are closed). It's a perfect place to gather a small group of friends for a pint, or to have a date night with someone special. My husband & I slip over there if we have a babysitter for an hour or two, and we always have good talks, great food, and truly friendly service.
My girlfriend and I were really looking forward to going here as the reviews were SO good! However, upon walking in, we were totally ignored! One waitress was at the bar ignoring us and making eyes with a guy patron. The other one was working but not really doing anything. So we stood there...and stood there... and stood there.. Finally "making eyes" waitress gets us water (gee thanks) and the other waitress changes the music, then turns a round and hands us two more glasses of water!
I was embarrassed for my girlfriend as she deserves better than this and was about to walk out, when finally, the "working" waitress grabs the menus from another customer and puts them in front of us. We finally did get some wine, but by then, the ambiance and charm was ruined.
It seems like this place has gone down hill from all the other great reviews I read about it. We won't be back.
