BarFly's Review of Lacey's

Great collection of B&W headshots of jazz and blues legends lining the lobby might lead one to believe this is a jazz and blues club, but one would be mistaken. Pleasant bar, extroverted servers. Plenty of screens for sports action. Live music F, Sat, no cover. Closes early Sun.

Landlord locked the place up due to non payment. Three weeks ago the Oregon lottery shut down the machines due to infractions. Laceys was the last "drinkers bar" in L.O. Smoking ban hurt big time.

Lacey's

The last bar in Lake Oswego to get rid of smoking. Hung on by their nicotine stained fingertips until that last minute at 11:59pm Dec. 31. Now, the cancer craving crowd just huddles right outside the door to kill themselves and creates a nice haze for everyone to walk through as you arrive or leave. This dive will always reek of cigarettes after 40+ years. Food is marginal, service is sporadic at best. Bartenders are usually rude and pushy and always seem to be too busy to get you another drink even though there are only 6 people in the entire building. VERY dark wich appears to be a ploy to cover up the ripped chairs, dirty floor and bar, peeling paint and general disrepair of the entire bar. Bands can be good on weekends from time to time. Typically a 45+ yr old crowd. Not sure how this dive can survive without smoking. Wouldn't be suprised to see Lacey's go by the wayside in the not too distant future. Not recommended. Two thumbs down.

Good Place

Went there after helping a friend do some home remodeling. Good laidback place, food was pretty good, beer selection was OK. Band was awesome, even if it was a bunch of old guys. I guess you never are too old to rock and roll. I'll likely stop in here again.

A comfy old dive.

Inexpensive drinks, EXTREMELY nice staff, terrible food. A place for serious drinkers.

Good Times

Lacey's is now a place for all ages to come and relax with great drinks, excellent eats, and live music. There are plenty of college age patrons coming to this lounge as well as the local legends.

The new owner "Wood" is a great guy and is usually behind the bar along with one of Lacey's hot female bartenders.

Music usually starts at 9:00 on Fridays and Saturdays and some acts perform during the week. There is also Texas hold em poker nights for those who want some action.

If you're in the downtown LO area, stop in to Lacey's. It's well worth it!

FYI...the headshots are not of jazz legends but locals done by a local artist.

Time Warp !

This place is for the over 40 crowd for sure. It's like a time warp. Bleach blonde hags smoking camels and drinking highballs. Probably easy to "get lucky" around closing time. (aahhhhgh).
