BarFly's Review of Limelight
Given the name, one might expect a little more stardust sprinkled about, or at least some kind of decor, period. Definitely a fine hangout, regardless. Friendly kid crowd. Good juke. Very personable BTs, including one of BarFly's fave raves, Ms. Shelly Luff (formerly of Space Room/Triple Nipple). Pool x2. Food til 1:15. $3 well and wine, $1 off micros, $1.50 PBR, & $3.50 menu 3-6pm M-F.

Great neighborhood hole in the wall. Pretty small, but the bartenders and their drinks make up for it. Always a pretty good crowd actually meet someone new just about every time I hit the Limelight. No smoking is a plus. Can't wait to go back.
These reviews seem elementary put a little soul in he effort or sign it something unoriginal ..... Phil Mycracken or Peter Goesinya ,mind erasers anyone....
The place joined Kay's across the street and also just went smoke free - you must step outside to smoke. A big improvement. The smokers can all hang out at Pogo's - AKA Stinky's.
This is my favorite bar close to home. The bartenders are great, the drinks are strong, and the food is tasty. I HATE the new jukebox though! All pop music, and it costs more too! The lights on it are obnoxious on top of it all. Bring back to old music!
This is by far my favorite bars. It's kind of mellow during the weekdays and a bit more upbeat during the weekend. The jukebox has a great selection of music. The BT's are always friendly and are worth a big tip. I've done the drunk walk home many times after a night of drinking and writing about zombies. The Lime Light is good with friends, or alone.
A better-than-average joint. We showed up with a crowd (birthday party) and the BT's were _very_ accommodating. It's clearly a place that's not used to a lot of traffic but was able to cope in a manner that made it enjoyable. For that reason alone I would recommend the place to anyone, at least once. Lots of reviews about the rapacious jukebox but that, unfortunately, is the rather the norm (3 for a dollar; 7 for two). The food is strictly pub-grub but why expect anything else? If you want sushi, Saburo's is just around the corner.
Great local pub that is gloriously 5 blocks from my house. Have stumbled home many a night with friends. Good drinks, nice staff. Food is typical bar fare, nothing spectacular - think fried. Pools tables are run down as they should be in a place like this. Juke box is the most expensive thing here but the selection is fantastic. The wife & I will plug in $10 and torture the crowd with our evil sense of music. Hmm Elvis, then Snoop, then some Irish bastard, then Madonna, then Old Blue Eyes, then Elvis again... Cool spot to hang out.
