BarFly's Review of Lincoln Restaurant

We are on the side of the angels when it comes to Lincoln’s décor, and cocktails, and ever-changing dinner selections: farm-fresh, simple, modern-elegant, all the things the kids are saying these days in the blogs.

You can feel an aura of tasteful, wood-grained privilege sort of settle into you—the design is as relaxing as high-grade pharmaceuticals.

The staff is well-vetted if still also Portland’s version of chi-chi hipster-floaty-entitled: we have seen noses turn up, visibly, at certain tables, especially the ones who hang around ordering the happy hour food, which is fashionably off-kilter in a way that's easy to mock (curried popcorn, anyone?) and not really very tasty at all.

If you’re here, be here for dinner, which will cost you, and then stick around for the stellar, somewhat ethereal drinks menu. Just, as we have said, over and over: expect to pay for it.

Been there 5 times and loved it every time. Nice people, good food. and a nice space. Haven't tried the happy hour yet but I will get right on that. Also liked the wine selection. Never thought that I would willingly eat fennel. Interesting little corner of the world. Try it. I'll bet you'll like it.
