Former dump nicely re-did in a crisp and clean, mid-century mod style. Friendly crowd is a pleasant cosmopolitan mix of neighborhood old-timers and newbies, gay and straight. Small dancefloor regularly erupts in delight when the heavy on the old-school deejays crank it up (no cover!). Cute little 'bar' on the sidewalk side of the front window makes for a gregarious smoking section with ample people watching on both sides of the glass. Pool x1.

the local lounge is a wonderful place to go for a drink. Lovely bar staff,a mix of clientele and great drinks. I enjoyed myself and can recommend this bar to anyone regardless of color,gender,age or sexual orientation. What you will find here are real people who are kind and fun to be around.
I went in there with a friend to get a bite to eat (we picked up a bottle at the liquor store right next to it). The food is really good, the drinks are cheap, and Randy is amongst my favorite bartenders. Love the mixed atmosphere, it makes for a great time. Highly recomend it.
I had drinks with friends a couple of nights ago. We had a great time. Lots of friendly people inside the bar. We absolutely adored Randy the bartender. What a great smile and personality to match.
Nice place and the people were attentive but not too attentive. I loved the Knee High drinks. Met the owner and he is very cool. Even the patrons who were there greeted me at the door. Just has been remodeled and now under new ownership. I would HIGHLY recommend and I will go back.
I took my date to the Local Lounge last week and the Bartender came up and demanded a private word from MY DATE!
what the fuck? all respects to the nice atmosphere... however... that was very rude... this was my date and we were having an intimate conversation. Bad Form :( Good Atmosphere however... so I score Local Lounge a 6 on a 1-10.
