BarFly's Review of 5th Quadrant
This uncharacteristically antiseptic outpost of the New Old Lompoc empire is a study in bland - industrial [yawn] chic decor (yes, it was once an auto shop, but, still, enough already!), uninspired lighting, oversize, under-comfortable wooden booths, and nice heated smoking patio. Good food, hot or cold service. The full array of the Lompoc's excellent brews on hand, of course.

I have to agree that there is one total bitch who works there but the rest of the staff is fine. Can't argue with cheap beer on Tuesdays and the food is typical good Lompoc bar food. Lighting sucks ass but eh who really cares. Outdoor patio is great, didn't know about the $4 mason jars, that's amazing!
The waitress was a bitch from the start. The appetizer we split was fine. The heated smoking patio was awesome. But when our table got cut off after 3 or 4 drinks (mostly High Life) from the bitch of waitress, that was the end. When discussing amongst ourselves about canceling our dinner order, the waitress called me assultive and told me to leave. After speaking to the manager and getting nother but a "uh sorry", I can tell you I will never go back and never recommend this joint to anyone. What happened to good ol' customer service?
I live right around the corner from this place. Its too damn convienent, and too damn good to deny. Best thing ever? 4$ Mason Jars of whatever beer they have on tap. Oh yeah, 2$ bloody Mary's on Sundays are great too..
Was here Sunday, then again today; had the same things: Gimlets and Fish&Chips. Consistent. 5Q's just fine; for the price of some of its menu cocktails: C. For its food: B. For its service: B+. I was able to get a good deal of clinical text-studying done here during rush hour, whilst getting my drink on. Service was good; funny folk. Pix, a neighbor, is an interesting establishment.

Why did you have to bring the Hedge House to NoPo? I love the Lompocs beer and food. Been a fan since the pub opened on 23rd 7+ years ago. Lunch time help is great and attentive but if you go in the evening time the staff seems to forget you are there, which really sucks when you just want a couple of beers and some light snacks. Bees have become interesting as of late and dont seem to be as good as they use to. Not sure what is going on but please give us back our original 5th Quadrant! Please!
