An inexperienced dancer can be kind of hot in that innocent, aw-little-Suzy-is-just-starting-to-get-naughty kind of way. A very different, acquired-taste sort of new-girl-hot is the one who's been on tour with Meth Leppard for the better part of the decade and is getting into this racket because it's time to buy a new truck. Shew doesn't give a fuck if you give a fuck about a stretch mark here, there or everywhere, because she can tie a knot in a firehose with her tongue and you goddamn well know it.
Dark and metal-y, which is for the best--no one in here benefits from exposure to sunshine and daydreams. Sack up and get in here, pussy. It's time to finally see your older sister's skanky friend's cans.

- I wrote a review for the 'Lure' two days ago. - I made an error in that message. - I mentioned that the 'Lure' used to be the 'Boom Boom' - That is incorrect. It used to be the 'Big Bang' - Sorry ! I hope that you can correct my error in this review, especially as the Boom Boom is another stripper bar about a mile away, which having been there only twice both times more than two years ago, I really don't know much about. Thanks !
I'm a carpenter/remodeler/painter. I get a lot of jobs in this area. Often my job & day are done mid-afternoonish. So, I have dropped in here for a beer or two and a dance viewing or two several times. Way back when this place was the Boom-Boom this was a darn good place. Good sevice & some great dancers. For several years though this place is the definition of, "We don't give a crap about the customer(s)". Bad service, no service, bad dancers, no dancers, bad attitudes all around from those who have or do work there. This place is pitiful. Never, never again.
The dancers here are gross. The music is loud and bad. You rarely see the same bartender twice. If you come in horny, you won't leave that way. The girls are all either fat, old, or just plain scary. There's a creepy goth redhead who literally smells like poop. The drinks are way over priced. I mean sure, you go to a tit bar to spend cash, but this place is not cool.
Lure is a neighborhood bar that just happens to have dancers. There are lots of regular customers and everyone seems to know everyone else.
Kate is a seriously good bartender and would be in any type of bar. She's fast, efficient, polite, professional, good mixologist and there is no doubt she is in charge. And she's hotter than almost all of the dancers. I go more because she is there than because of the dancers.
Areas for improvement: About half of the dancers are COMPLETELY wasted by 11:00 pm and are staggering and incoherent by 1:00 am. Not hot. Partying is great, but not slobbering drunk. A couple of them have VERY obvious substance issues. Again, not hot.
Max and Harley are hot dancers and they are pretty real off stage. Girl next door mixed with porn star. Perfect mix.
Check it out. But go when Kate is working.
Drink prices are reasonable.
Suppose to be open till 2:30; this place closed at 12:00 on a Sunday. Only one dancer...did 3 songs and left. Pretty sad.
The lovely bartender was pouring stiffies (ashamed I can't remember her name, maybe Kristi?), and the dancers were hawt.
But lovely, lovely Kira. So close, such beautiful eyes, such looong legs, such.... mmmm. Baby Jesus wept, because he wasn't there. :-)
Went to Lure last Saturday night and had such a good time. The Bartender was great, speedy, good stiff drinks, and good conversation. All the customers were talking to each other, almost like you walked into a house party. Oh and the dancers rocked!! There were only 3 girls working but all worth watching, but one stole my heart!! She callls herself Max and she is absolutly stunning!! She doesnt get as close to you as the other girls, but heck she doesn't need to. She could turn you on from ten feet away I think! I'm going back, you should too!!
