BarFly's Review of Madison's

Passers-by may wonder why a Walmart-sized parking lot lays emptyish this disused stretch of inner southeast, but the successful bar terraforms for the clientele they want, not the clientele they have.

Much as this suburban flower caters - in the most literal sense; Madison's banquet room was built for anniversaries - to area homeowners old and old before their time with gorgeous pool tables, extensive menu and wine list, and a non-smoking ferocity.

Madison's can't quite overprice Buds enough to ease out those area stragglers mistaking the bar's blandness for an absence of pretension. They rarely stay for the dinner theater, still.

Friendliest place ever

I've been here three times recently, and each time the waitress treats my party as if we are the most important people (or potentially biggest tippers) in the world. More than polite, honoring special requests, frequent check-ins without seeming pushy. Add a great selection and great food (and REALLy great happy hour) and I'm sold.

My only complaint about this place is that it's not closer to my house! Nice comfortable atmosphere, great service & good drinks. Maybe not for the hipsters or the reedies, but that's just fine with me. If you have'nt been, check it out.

No Frik'n Tators!

Nice and clean with some good HH drink specials. The grub is decent, however I won't go there again because they raised the price on grub and to add insult to injury......they now charge extra for the frikn'n french fries! What's next...extra $'s for salt!
