BarFly's Review of North Bar
Your standard neo-dive - a locals-only joint without much flair. But, if you're in the neighborhood, and thirsty... Pleasant staff. Sidewalk tables afford smoking and drinking opportunity, but less people watching than car watching.
Hours:
3pm-2:30am Mon-Fri.
2pm-2:30am Sat-Sun.
Pool x 1, darts x 1, jukebox

I've been by here a number of times and am glad that I stopped in recently. The happy hourish scene is nice... the service was good and so were the drinks (maybe a little on the pricey side for the eastside... $6.50 for a non-muddled drink), but the drink was well-made.
The place is bigger on the inside than it appears from the outside. Kind of a J-shaped set up with a few separate rooms... gets plenty of light and is a good car watching spot from inside or from the 3-4 tables outside.
All in all a great neighborhood bar and there are not many bars between 82nd and 39th on Division! (well actually I think that they may be the only one!).
North is the perfect place to live down the street from: good music, nice people, easy vibe, good drinks & beer selection. Good younger crowd: not too stuffy or oppressively cooler-than-thou
We always have a great time whenever we head over to North BaR. The bartenders are just as friendly now as when they didn't even have a sign out front and were still trying to get going. great Jukebox. We're heading over to their trivia night right now!
Great alt and hair on the box! My new number 1 Sunday, Bloody Mary place. Food is still in the munchy phase, either they stick with what (food) works, or they are ramping up. I don't care, because they gots the liquor license you see. Besides you must check out the art hanging on the walls. Then, and only then pass judgment.
