BarFly's Review of Ringler's Pub
Spacious pool hall on first floor of Crystal Ballroom lines them up around the corner for its deejays and ardent late-twenties/early-thirties singles' scene, weekend nights. Oversize wooden booths are none too comfortable, but perfect for larger groups. Service is typical McMenamin's - hit or miss, usually the latter. Free pool with minimum $6 purchase 11:30am-6pm daily. Open 11:30am-2:30am everyday. $2.50 menu + $.75 off wells, $3.15 pints 4-6pm all 7.

I work for The Crystal Ballroom/Ringlers (as security) and ok, I'll give in to the food not being spectacular, I eat it for dinner half the week. As far as the clientele (incorrect spelling?) if you don't like it, then maybe it's not your scene. I know it can get unruly, and it CAN take awhile to get a drink sometimes. Look, we have limited staff and 300 freakin people at peak hours ok? I can't speak for their attitude, but as far as quick service, cut the bartenders some slack. There ARE tricks you know, like holding your money/card in your hand in visible sight, and/or holding up a finger or two. Plus it's dark and they can't really tell who's just standing at the bar, and who's lookin for a drink. Finally, raise your hand if you are/have been an alchohol server/bartender... I don't think simply being a drinker entitles you to bash someone's performance. You have no idea unless you've been in the same situation. You're only looking out for yourself. How fast do YOU get YOUR drink/food? That's all you're thinking about. Not how drunk you might look/act, are you being an ass to other patrons? are you a non or small-tipper? (i.e. do they want to continue serving you) I personally think you've got no bitching rights if you've never been in a tender/server situation or you're not a REAL reviewer. Grow up, or go drink at home or a friend's house, it's cheaper. YOU are the kind of people who start fights. If you don't like the service, then don't fuckin come, go be an alchoholic elsewhere.

Can I get a drink with some attitude?
Why yes you can, welcome to Ringler's!!!
If your looking for some enjoyment on a nice frosty beverage, you
have come to the wrong place. I was ready to enjoy McMenamins best beer...........lucking for me it was served up in a plastic cup.
"I love warm 8oz. beers".
Enjoying my warm beer I had the great pleasure I watching some
really creepy guys grinding some hot females, the guys were sporting there blue tooth headset's.
"Hey son wallstreet isn't calling you at midnight!"
Beyond the fact that the service blows, and most of them don't seem
to enjoy there job.
This place manages to roll some amazing HOT ladies into its bar.
Did I mention the NO cover. Welcome to Ringler's, I Guess you get
what you pay for!!

Practically every weekend since this past summer my friends have been persuading me to go to Ringlers. If you go early enough (before 10) you don't have to wait in line, it's easy to get a table, and you can get a good buzz going because the bar won't be overly packed. After 10, the place starts to fill up, and the bouncers tend to stagger groups of people they're letting in (even if it's not packed yet). If you're opting for mixed drinks, they tend to be fairly weak, but they've always rewarded me for asking for more alcohol without a complaint. Beer is always a good option because it is a McMennamins, and what can I say, they make good beer. The food is typical bar food, nothing exciting. As far as atmosphere is concerned, you can always find the pool tables busy on the weekends, as well as the dancefloor. Their music is mostly top 40 with some old school pop hits thrown in, and you can expect the same tunes week to week. Finally, if you're a U of O grad, this is the place to reunite with other alums, especially those who were in the Greek system. Overall it's usually a good time, and always serves as our back-up when we're not feeling other scenes.

Bartenders are the slowest in the world. Takes you at least 5-10 mins standing at the bar to get a drink. Bartenders and servers are bitchy. My suggestion is to get drunk before you go and then you will have a good time!

Ringlers is a fun place for people who don't aren't complete snobs. Its a typical Mcmenimums. The ruby is excellent. The bartenders are a little rude at times. Fri and Sat nights are pretty packed. The DJ is usually fairly decent. I will admit, there are a lot of douchebags with attitudes who sometimes hover around, but in all, its a pretty fun place.
