We live a few blocks away and frequent this place. The food is amazing- especially the burger with prosciutto, avocado, mango chutney and garlic mayo...mmmmm. Good beer choices and friendly staff. It's not a bar for getting drunk and crazy, but it is great for chilling with some friends.

Try walking across Greeley to Yorgo's (which hasn't been added yet to the list) if you really want to drink in the North. The food's not the reason for a bar to exist anyways, Sagittarius' just a good restaurant that happens to serve drinks. Pick a side Sagittarius!

Sagittarius is my absolute favorite place to eat in NoPo. The food is delicious and I always have a hard time deciding from their diverse menu - blue burger, galaxy salad, and rosemary mac are a few faves. The drinks are great, too - try a dark and stormy archer - and the desserts are to die for. On top of all of this, it is owned by two very cool people who are most often onsite waiting on your table. Oh, and don't forget to read your napkin ring. Best dinner/lunch/happy hour place in NoPo by a mile!

I love that you can get really good salads and soups here til pretty late... and it always seems to be happy hour...the drinks could be served a little stronger though....definitely a stop for the way home if you live in NoPo.

Other than a mildly disappointing lunch soon after it opened, I have enjoyed every subsequent visit to Sagittarius. It's a small restaurant (seats maybe 30) with some barstools, so it's definitely not a scene, but the food (from the widely varied menu) is always good, the drinks are inventive and honest, and the staff is on top of things--and friendly. Add cool decor and well-informed iTunes library, and you've got a great place for a reasonably-priced tasty meal with your friends.
