BarFly's Review of Skyline Tavern

If you long for a backyard, but live in a studio apartment, this is the bar for you. More outdoors than in, extensive deck and patio spaces are available for private parties, and come equipped with horseshoe pits and other summertime delights. Great view of the valley, too. Beer from $1.

Walked out

The only food available is microwave snacks and $9 for 2 Coors Lights?

The worst place my girlfriend and I could have wound up on a Friday evening thirsty and starving. We walked out when the snotty bartender told us of the lame microwave menu AFTER charging us $9 for two mediocre draft beers. Too bad because its a nice building in a decent location.

The kids issue

Actually, that was because we had labeled it as "kid friendly" in the BarFly database. From time to time we click the wrong checkbox. Our mistake.

Duh!

In my experience usually if "tavern" is part of the name of the establishment thats a pretty good indication it's 21 and over. Cool spot to cruise up to in the summer though.
