Spirit Mountain Casino

Oops! I forgot to add to my last review that Spirit Mountain has great free entertainment in their Summit View lounge, as well as on stage in the Sports Bar. I used my free $3 food coupon for an appetizer, and I enjoyed listening to The Beth Willis Rock Duo there, plus I've enjoyed comedians, jazz musicians, and many other good entertainers there as well. Recently they had an Elvis Impersonator Contest, and the contestants were great! The

Spirit Mountain Casino

A great casino with wonderful food (an award-winning buffet), a fantastic nice-rooms Lodge with beautiful artwork in the lobby, a wide variety of slots and table games, Bingo, Keno, and for the most part, many very wonderful customer-service-oriented people (like Victoria and Rebecca and Rory, to name just a few) working there.

The security staff is generally nice, but their policies can sometimes be very abrupt and unfriendly toward good customers, with sudden unfriendly hurts-people's-feelings evictions given in a dangerous manner.

For example, if someone has had a little too much to drink that night, plus is very tired from a night of spending money on drinks and slot machines and table games and food and otherwise being an excessively good customer (as all casinos entice people to overdo it, with their disorienting and mesmerizing flashing lights, wild music, and lack of clocks and windows and any kind of financial limit protections for people), Spirit Mountain security asks this drunk, tired, and impaired-driver person to leave the property--BAM!!-- like RIGHT NOW and, uh, DRIVE out on the road with the rest of us! Not good, and I almost got head-on smashed by someone like this driving in my lane on my way to Spirit Mountain at 1 A.M. one evening. That problem of security overdoing it and mistreating good customers at times aside, the casino is a very good one in every other way. Huge prize drawings, a generous comp program, $3 meal coupons on Tuesdays and early Fridays, birthday presents and freebie coupons in the mail, $5 free slot play for signing up for a player's card, and so on. Go check it out.
