beware of pepper spray

Nice leather couches, great layout, formidable DJ and lack of decent management. My first time at the club, and while I was waiting for my cab I was sprayed with pepper spray across my face, chest, legs and in my eyes. There was a minor fight about 50 ft away, and thus the pepper spray. I understand accidents happen. However, the manager and owner dismissed my discomfort and did not offer any apology, assistance nor responsibility for the act. Overall, I liked the music and would rate the bar a C.

Studio 503 Beaverton

Studio 503 is a Beaverton bar that attract crowds during weekends. Drinks are usually pretty reasonable but they tend to mix cheap liquor in to the top shelf brands so stick to the cheap ones. (guess that is illegal) The service is reasonable as well. The bar tenders seems to be friendly. However the management and the bouncers are not upto par. May be some ametures hiried for cheap. Used to have to pay cover to get into the dance section of the club. But, now you need to pay cover to get in the bar section as well. The cover is a bit over-priced for the location and a bar of such state. [$10] There is a pool tournament every Friday at 8pm which they allow only if you pay $5 or what ever there price and winner get the money at the end. (Feels like a gambling joint) Usually the crowd is nice but a weekend wont go through without some fight(s). I would rate this place as C.

503

Studio 503 is few of the Beaverton bars that attract crowd during weekends - mostly latino population. Used to have to pay cover to get into the dance section of the club only. But, now you need to pay cover to get in the bar section as well. The cover is a bit over-priced I think for the location. [$10]. Dublin across the street charges only $5. Drinks are usually pretty strong and service is good.

good place

Drinks are strong and reasonably priced. There are hardwood floors, leather couches and 5 pool tables on one side, the other side is a "Miami-Style" club with a stage. Large bars on both sides. You pretty much have the place to yourself before 10, after that every Spanish speaker in Portland shows up. Oh, and pool tournaments every Friday at 8pm.

STUDIO 503

Studio 503 has a nice layout with a sports room for billiards and flat screens to watch sporting events. The club has a pretty good sound and lighting system. The club didn't start to pick up until around 11pm and never reached max capacity that night. The drinks were reasonable and so was the service. The crowd was okay but I think they could do a better job of promoting the club and changing their entrance policy especially on weekends. Overall I would give the club a B- with room for improvements. Definitely has potential only time will tell if this club will still be around next year.
