BarFly's Review of Victory
Often mistaken for a restaurant, this classy wine and beer-centric bar has paid attention to every detail. Dimly lit paper lamps dangle from the randomly coffered ceiling, lending an air of European panache. The specialty cocktails are twists on tradition - the New Fashioned stands out with its homemade cinnamon bitters. Beer lovers and foodies alike will be pleasantly surprised by the eclectic menu of imported beer and house made sausages and spätzle. Perfect for mingling with a few close friends, either at the small candle lit tables or the two curved bars.

Pretty nice place comfortable, warm interior. Kind of an upscale neighborhood bar. Not particularly pretentious until you get to the menu. The food was good but the portions are tiny for the price they charge ($8 for a cup of what was basically fancy mac'n'cheese). I'm not to into the whole tappas thing, it seems like a good way to spend a shit-ton of money without even knowing it...until you get the bill. My first specialty cocktail was super-good, I ordered another but that one was a bit on the watery side. The server did add a drink to the tab that we didn't actually get but she was really nice and took it off without a fuss when it was pointed out. Might be back for a date or something. Probably won't go with a group again, there are just too many other places that are better suited.
