Despite its name, this newly-vinted lounge – a satellite of the Observatory’s gravitational pull upon the neighborhood – appeared less than a year ago near the burgeoning heart of the Montavilla neighborhood.
The $8 drinks are perhaps pricier than their neighborhood counterparts, but are offset by a wide selection of low brow brews and tight-budget tinctures.
Dark wood and red vinyl swank up the low rent corpuscles of the Vintage while crafty ‘tenders ply their trade before the ever-watchful eyes of customers seemingly, bizarrely more concerned with means than ends.
Lost among the new craze for signature concoctions seems to be an over-attention to that vaguest of crafts – muddling fruit’s not the same as filleting ahi, collecting bitters is as exactly rewarding as it sounds, and would you let an opponent use ‘mixology’ during Scrabble?
Unpretentiousness, comfort, and approachability are indelicately infused the VCL’s cocktail culture, singularly prized for the discipline that style demands and the acquired tastes that addiction bestows, but liquor’s effects have a way of evening everything out.
Tasting "flights" of select booze inventory is offered in 3 small shot sized wine glasses. Full menu available all hours.

My husband and I purchsed the living social coupon for Vintage Cocktail. It sounded like a cool place so we thought we would give it a try. The atmosphere was great and the drinks rocked! Nice to get finally get a strong drink . We will most definately go back.

This place rocks. From the outside it looks like it could be pretty snobbish, but on the inside, the bartenders are the complete opposite. I recently went to Branch and wasn't a fan, the atmosphere was too stale there. I hit up Vintage a few weeks later and it was what I was looking for: great drinks, friendly/knowledgeable/goofy bartenders, and decent ambiance. Their oly/shot special hit the spot :)
