BarFly's Review of Wild Tiger Lounge

The pleasures of the Wild Tiger Lounge begin and end with attentive – perhaps scarily attentive – bartender who remembers your drink and refashions it towards a sip-friendly potability that (pleasantly) brings the toxic back to intoxication.

Justin tends bar six nights a week, the slacker just stopped working Mondays, and, after a short lifetime’s residence around Sam’s Billiards and other area nightspots, regulars loyal to his pours fill the teensy, blood orange alcove haphazardly constructed towards the back of a decent Thai restaurant.

Our Booze Director (the lovechild of Isaac and Julie, if there ever was one) likes to imagine the cocktail section, small enough that the pool table lies between the tables of the Wild Tiger proper, as a ship-board lounge, providing libations and entertainment (movie night, anyone?) to the landlubbers and sea dogs aboard.  Sailing the not-so-rough seas of darkest Hollywood has never made so few people green.

Among the best

Good food here, excellent presentation and flavor. Staff is very friendly and will make whatever you want even if you want to tweak menu items to your liking.. Great local atmosphere and the most excellent cozy bar hosted by Justin, who may occasionally remember to put a lime in your PBR, but will always remember you are going to order a PBR. And he has good taste in tunes, and always takes requests for movies. Fun place, you should go.

Love the Tiger!!

Wild Tiger has fantastic food! May I suggest the # 44 - Cashew Beef with extra beef? If you love soup, the Thom Kah is also amazing! The bar is super tiny but so worth it. Justin the bartender is the Bee's Knees and doesn't lie when he says he pours an HONEST drink!! The pool table has already already arrived. The neighborhood peeps make it super interesting even if you're not from this hood! Definitely check it out before the "Hollywood Hipsters" runneth over!

Wild Tiger Lounge PDX

Truthfully, I hate to spill the beans, but this is an exceptional and cool place that somehow is yet to be discovered. Just head 1/2 block north of the Hollywood Theater on NE Sandy Blvd. You too can be cool before it is over run with hipsters.

Happy Hour

Thanks barfly for posting our pub on your site. We have happy hour 7 days a week. 4pm to 6pm and 8pm to 9pm. $3 wells, drafts, appetizers,$2 pbr tall boys all the time and $1.50 Miller High Life draft for Happy Hour. I pour a VERY honest drink and like to see people having a good time. We are getting a pool table and a couple games. Our bar is super tiny but packs a punch with cool people from the neighborhood. I'm here 7 days a week so you will always get good service, cause that's how i roll :-)

Thanks
