The backstory...
Way back in 1999, Jen Lane, while enjoying a protracted stint on employment, discovered the wonders of happy hour, and promptly set about disseminating her newfound knowlege to the masses. Several months, and untold bong hits, later, BarFly Magazine was born. While the beloved pocket-size monthly has sadly gone the way of the dodo, thanks to Kyle "Mr BarFly" Ritter, today BarFly flourishes on the interweb at www.barflypdx.com, where it continues to be Portland's best drinking buddy, ever. Together with its ever-popular pub crawls, BarFly Bus Tours, and its irregularly scheduled oddball events and notorious annual bashes, the BarFly "entertainment juggernaut" is still going strong, some ten years later.
