Don't miss the most popular guy in Portland's birthday bash, on Tuesday, September 29th, at Dante's, from 9pm-close! John "Elvis" Schroder has been a good friend of BarFly for years now, and it's our pleasure to present his birthday party, once again.

This year, we've got a great line-up of solid garage rock, headlined by Portland's premier Guided By Voices tribute band, Giant Bug Village! If you like your songs short and full of hooks, this night is for you! Rounding out the bill are Mr. Howl, Captain Booty Beard (a.k.a. Soriah's Enrique's pirate persona), Metropolitan Farms, and Search Party.

Immediately prior to the big bash, Elvis will appear as a guest on the uniquely entertaining live talk show, "The Ed Forman Show," on the main stage at Dante's (at 9pm, bands start at 10pm).

Elvis's Birthday Party is free, and open to anyone 21 or older. Birthday cake will be served.

Don't forget to bring a present for The King!

Dante's remains at 1 SW Third, on the corner of Burnside.
