The 1st Annual Bouncers and Bartenders Bake-Off (BB Bake-Off) will be held on Valentine’s Day (Sunday, February 14th, 2010) at Dante’s. The spirit of the BB Bake-Off is meant to be an industry friendly and socially competitive event for “Annual Bragging Rights.” The men bake and the women judge. Venue sponsored Bouncer/Bartender Teams are encouraged but not required. Industry raffle and cash prizes guaranteed.

Rules, Registration, and Schedule
Welcome: The 1st Annual Bouncers and Bartenders Bake-Off (BB Bake-Off) will be held on Valentine’s Day (Sunday, February 14th, 2010) at Dante’s. The spirit of the BB Bake-Off is meant to be an industry friendly and socially competitive event for “Annual Bragging Rights.” The men bake and the women judge. Venue sponsored Bouncer/Bartender Teams are encouraged but not required. Industry raffle and cash prizes guaranteed.
Cash prizes awarded for:
· Best Overall ($100.00)
· Best Presentation ($50.00)
· Best Non-Chocolate ($50.00)
· Best Chocolate ($50.00)
· Best Frilly Apron ($50.00)
Contest Entry Fee and Registration:
· Entry fee: $20.00 per man

· Last day for registration is Thursday, February 11th in person at Dante’s or Slow Bar
Contest Rules:
· Men must bake dessert from scratch
· Only baked products are eligible to compete
· Women present during the event can be judges
· Men should be prepared to recite recipe if asked by judge
· Contestant can bake a dessert for each category
· Contestant should make enough dessert capable of 10 tastings
· Contestants will be assigned a 3-4 foot square table to display dessert entry
· Contestants table numbers will provided the day of the event at Dante’s
· Runner-up contestants will receive ranked blue ribbons based on judges’ score
· Talking smack to Runner- up contestants after ribbon is awarded permitted
· Spending limit for dessert theme and presentation $75.00
· Bribing judges with monopoly money or other enticing artifacts permitted
General Admission and Rules:
· General Admission: 2:00 PM
· General Admission: $5.00 with raffle ticket
· General Admission: $3.00 without raffle ticket
· Leave Bad Attitudes and Drama at Home; or You Will Be Sent Home
· The BB Bake-Off is a political and lifestyle neutral social networking industry event
· Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated
Contest Schedule:
· Set-up for displaying dessert entries starts at 12:30PM
· Set-up for displaying desserts entries ends at 2:00PM
· Parade of desserts starts at 2:30PM
· Judging will begin at 3:00PM
· Judging will end at 4:00PM
· Raffle will be held at 4:00PM
· Judges scorecard will be tallied during raffle and finalized by 4:45PM
· Cash Prizes will be awarded starting at 5:00PM
· Sadie Hawkins Dance depending on level of participation will be held at 5:30PM
· Tear down and cleanup will begin at 6:00PM.
· The 1st Annual Bouncers and Bartender Bake-Off will end promptly at 6:30PM
Contest Judging Rules:
· Judging will be done by volunteers
· Judges will be recruited and chosen from women present at the start of the BB Bake-Off
· Judges will deduct points for unsafe presentations
· Contestants may leave the bake off area at their own discretion during judging of competitors desserts
· Contestants must be tableside during judges’ scoring of his dessert or risk disqualification
· Kidnapping the competition is prohibited; luring the competition away permitted
· In the event duplication of points makes more than one participant eligible to win in any category, the BB Bake-Off Coordinator shall either break the tie or designate an event spectator to declare the winner
Contest Judging Criteria:
· Points will be based on flavor and the appearance of the dessert
· External factors include uniformity, shape, size, color, surface texture and presentation
· Internal factors include taste, texture, grain, and color
