Friday, August 3rd, brings the second-ever coming of Slappy Cakes' Pancake Art Contest! The ack-shawn takes place during happy hour, 5-8pm, at Slappy Cakes (4246 SE Belmont - pretty much, the ultimate breakfast bar - not only do you get to create your own breakfast, right there on your tabletop built-in griddle, but it's a full bar bar, too!).
Bonus: BarFly's own Jedediah will be hosting with the mosting (not to mention, judging, and therefore, highly bribable!)

Here's the scoop: First Fridays, Slappy Cakes holds a 'Pancake Art Contest,' with fabulous prizes for the winning pancake masterpiece (and runners-up, too!)! Here are the all-important rules of the competition:
1. Doors open at 5pm and entries will be judged at 8:30pm, awards ceremony at 9pm.
2. Contestants can work together, but may submit only one entry per table.
3. Entries must be made using only ingredients from the pancake menu, toothpicks will be provided for structural support.
4. There is no entry fee (except for what is ordered from the menu).
5. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.
To help get your creative juices flowing, enjoy the happy hour drink specials, available throughout the festivities!
