Pray tell, what is this "Bus?"
BarFly Bus Mystery Bar Tours are decadent nights of pure fun! A typical tour will take you and 55 of your new best friends to eight to ten bars, clubs, lounges and dives, up, down, and all around our fair city. A top-secret meet-up spot is announced to ticket holders 24 hours prior to departure - what comes next will keep you guessing all night long. Rest assured, pick-up and drop-off is always at a convenient to public trans, centrally located, bar or club. We may take you to BFE, but we bring you back to civilization!
All cover charges are waived, complimentary hors d'oeuvres are served, and drink discounts abound! BarFly Bus tickets are $17.50-25 for most tours, and we offer discounts for groups of ten or more. You can also book the BarFly Bus for a private party, for any occasion. Give us a call or drop us an email for more info (Bus [at] barflymag.com).
To be up to the BarFly Bus challenge, you must be ready, willing, and able to take responsibility for yourself, the drinks you ingest, and the effects they may have upon you. Furthermore, you must pinkie swear that a cab driver or other sober individual will take your extra-fun self home at the end of the festivities. Pukers and other lightweights are discouraged from participating. You must be at least 23, and have your valid ID (Oregon State ID or Driver's License, other US Driver's License, or Passport) with you. Sorry, under 23 need not apply!
BarFly Mystery Bar Bus Tours will depart at least once a month. Book your seats now - they usually sell out, and sell out fast! Holiday runs, like Halloween, New Year's Eve, and Saint Patrick's Day, usually sell out weeks in advance. Discounts are available for groups of ten or more. If you have a birthday, a bachelor or bachelorette party, anniversary, work party, or anything to celebrate - the BarFly Bus is a great choice, with something for everybody in your group! It's also a great way to meet people and make new friends - folks fly solo on the BarFly Bus all the time.

BarFly Bus Tours usually sell out at least a week in advance, so pick up your tickets, now! Use cold, hard credit or cash via PayPal. Click below for individual tickets for up to 9 of your best pals. Groups of 10 tickets are sold at a discount rate (but only a limited number of discount ten-packs are available for any given tour, so if you want to save, please book early!).

Refunds and exchanges are not available, unless the Bus is unable to operate (a very, very rare occurrence). However, if you find that you are unable to use your tickets, you may upgrade them to open tickets for an additional $5 charge per ticket. Q. What happpens when I click the button?
A. You'll be whisked away to a secure PayPal payment page, where you can use any credit card, your bank account, or your PayPal account to buy your BarFly Bus! The reservation deposit is 50% of the charter rate of $699. You'll be charged $349.50 when you make your reservation, the we will bill you for the remainder (due no later than fourteen business days prior to your tour date).
Q. How do I know I'll get the date I want?
A. BarFly guarantees you'll get the date you want, or you'll get a full refund, right away. Just pick your day from the drop down menu, write your date (MM/DD/YY), then click the BarFly Charter button, above, and you're all set! You'll receive an email confirmation of your private party date, the same day.
Q. What if I book now, but change my mind on the date?
A. No problem! We'll re-book you for your date of choice, when you're ready. In fact, if you know you'll be needing a BarFly Bus, but you're not sure when, you can still take advantage of our special sale price. Just write "Date TBA"in the date field, above.
Q. You say "23 and up"on the BarFly Bus page - what's up with that?
A. BarFly doesn't do 21st (or 22nd) birthday parties for one reason, and one reason alone - we're just not that into puke. In general, we do not allow anyone under 23 on the BarFly Bus, but for private parties, we do make exceptions. Everyone in your party must be at least 21, however.
Q. What will my tour be like?
A. Your tour will be tailored to your tastes and specific requests. While BarFly is best known for its down and dirty dive bar tours, we do it all - clubs, lounges, pubs, you name it, we'll take you there. We'll do all the planning for you, and get you the same great deals you enjoy on our regular public BarFly Tours - no cover charges, discount drinks, and free appetizers, all included! And if you'd like a special theme party, trivia competition, or scavenger hunt, we've got you covered.
Q. Does it have to be 6 hours? What if I don't have 55 guests?
A. Our charter rate is the same for any time period, up to six hours. In general, we recommend 7pm-1am as the best tour time, but we can do any six-hour period. Our charter rate is also the same for any number of folks, up to 55. We recommend the BarFly Bus for any group of 12 or more. Why don't the rates change? Because it's our insurance that's the spendiest part of running BarFly, and it costs the same to us whether your group is five or fifty-five.
Q. Can I talk to someone about this before I plunk down my $349.5O?
A. You bet, if by "talk", you mean "email". Email BarFly's proprietor, Jen Lane, at jen@barflymag.com, and she'll answer all your questions. Be sure to include your phone number if you prefer to actually "talk".
