BarFly's Review of Berbati's Pan (CLOSED)
Berbati's, the more refined, art-filled restaurant side is open daily, while the adjoining club space, Berbati's Pan, is open per event (usually at least Wednesday-Saturday). Berbati's features popular monthly First Thursday artist receptions and other lowkey entertainments, including local deejays.
Berbati's Pan packs the house for mid-level touring acts, deejays, and local favorites of all flavors.
Game room with big screen x 1, pool x 3, assorted pinball, jukebox and video crack links the restaurant with the club.
Sidewalk seating available on Second Avenue side. Excellent mediterranean fare served late night, every night. Open 5pm-2am Sunday & Monday, 11am-2am Tuesday-Saturday. (except Sunday/Monday - open at 5pm). No cover in Berbati's, cover varies in Berbati's Pan.

Hip Hop, The Slants, Eric John Kaiser - all good times minus 'tude from bartenders cuz I didn't tip more than a buck for them to pop open a $2 beer. Theatre seats a bit tight for my big butt. Bar side did have some snotty boys who could use a good ass-whuppin. Ya, flugelhorn, their website is too cool for school; I hate it. But negatives aside, I really enjoyed the performing artists!
LOVE-LOVE-LOVE it!! Berbaitís is the perfect any-occasion bar. Itís an ideal blend of sassy-diva/artsy snob/come-as-you-are bar. There is no cover to the bar side, the bartenders are HOT, the drinks cheap for downtown, and the food is delish!! Itís the perfect reality check amongst the pretentious downtown scene. You can entertain yourself with the big screen tv, pool tables, video poker machines, or on the dance floor Friday and Saturday nightsÖdid I mention the HOT bartenders?!!!! Plus, Vodoo Doughnuts is right behind it!! I truly cannot say enough great things about this place!!!!
...or at least stop burying the venue listings alongside the menu and other restaraunt stuff. Oh, and I should mention that I find the bar sorta abrasive and douchey, par for the course in Old Town. I don't wanna mix my rock n' roll with dome d-bag in some shitty untucked dress shirt he bought at Chess King. Yes, I'm talking about you, ya wannabe junior executive pooball.
The venue's fine by me, but I can't ever see myself hanging out at the bar / cafe unless I absolutely have to.
Hi i am a alcohol enthusiest, writer, artist, lover, fighter, and i am madly in love with one of your bartendresses, I am a man of many broken hearts, and thanks to the smile of one special employee of yours, i can finally love again, berbatis you fuckin rock and so does that certain someone, i am sure she knows who she is, its so god damn obvious, any fool with one half good eye could see shes the cutest thing this side of the mississippi, keep on rockin and dont ever let her go. p.s. to i dunno the other dumb shit blok who wrote that some "bitches" there at berbatis were getting his panties all up in a bunch, fuck off, i ever catch you bad mouthing my new love intrest, i will lay you out flat.....suck on that you little prick
the service was amazing, the drinks were stiff and the food delicious, its the kind of place you can go for happy hour, to see a show, or play pool!! it dousnt hurt that the staff is easy on the eyes too :) there is something for everyone!!!!
I had a dream that your (Berbatis) was in the future turned into a church. So we are claiming it as the Lords!
Best Happy Hour in town for the money. Great food menu and strong drinks. Some of the bartenders will remember you by name (and your drink preference) if you go more than twice. Now that they're non-smoking it's all the better. You can get tons of yummy food and several drinks for cheap at happy hour. If you are a cocktail fan, plan on an early dinner and head to Berbati's. For happy hour, you can't beat it.
I don't mind playin some pool here but there are some bitches I'd rather not have to talk to workin at the bar. hey chicks.... you're no better than us. quit acting like it. duh
