BarFly's Review of Cheers Northwest
One of the few old man watering holes still left in "Trendy-Third" attracts a growing number of hipsters after dark, who come for the weekly deejay dance parties, and its dark, canoodle-friendly corners, on off nights. Drinks are cheap and strong, service is pleasant and swift.

it is most definatly a diamond in the very rough....drinks are very strong...you get way more than you moneys worth when it comes to drinks and price. there's a hot new bartender now, she's amazing..and married, but AMAZING, FUNNY, AND KNOWS HOW TO POUR A GREAT DRINK. GREAT SERVICE WITH THE NEW HOTTIE...
Cheers NW is a diamond in the rough as far as I'm concerned. It's near the pearl without that stifling pearl atmosphere. I visit this bar when I have one thing on my mind: getting my drink on. They pour the drinks just the way I like them, and the crowd is mellow enough. There are a lot of loud drunks in there (probably why I feel right at home) but if you don't cause any problems you won't run into any. They have a nice jukebox that you can download whatever you want to hear. The bartenders are great and friendly not to mention a couple of the girls I saw working in there were hot as hell.
Hell, this is a historical site, not to mention-hysterical...'been here since before Egypt...I'm a regular...and they are all right: lots of drooling talk! Man, gotta love this place for a cold one after a long day! Cheers to you!
Considering the fact that I live across the street from this place I am almost forced to like it. But, for what it is worth this is a good bar that is going to get squeezed when the area gets Pearl-ized. Cheap beer and stiff drinks in the company of a whole bunch of regulars. Lots of yellin' and slurred speach about dumb stuff. There are the Oregon crack head games in the back behind the bar and several booths to hang out in and have a conversation with people you are with. A classic dive that is open all of the time. Timeless.
karoke now wed at 9:30, younger crowd at nights, great service. regulars abound....lot's of fun.
