Add your own review or commentif you want to talk about the males maybe you should wait till they are open cause one of the dancers is the reason why rami have to hang it up cause he cant keep up with the new king of the west
Ugh! This place is nasty! It stinks like dog pi** and sh** and the girls are really unattractive. Definitely NOT the place to go! They can't serve alcohol 90% of the time and I'd be afraid to eat the food. No offense, but with all the bouncers you just know somebody is gonna get shot. Totally bad area too and the creeper old gramps with the food filled beard running place... Guy, lay off the drugs! Couldn't pay me and my girls to go there.
I heard the male revue was coming back, the only one worth a fuck is Remington and Magnus, the rest are busted looking losers who dance like a weird back street boys talent show. If Remington comes out of retirement, that's something I'd pay to see that man is sexy on every level. He ripped it up with his own style everyone tried to copy, I am curious to see his body and how much his break dancing has progressed, that's a show. Magnus was gorgeous too tho. Couldn't move like Remi though.
As of December 27th 2013 The Viewpoint is again open for business! Great booze, great dancers and great food.
The place is back open!! It's open until 5AM now, opens at 5PM. Has dancers. Currently it IS 18 and over while they wait for their liquor license but they do have some special events and live shows coming up and liquor will be served. If you're looking for a comfortable spot with friendly staff and exotic dancers after 2AM it's definitely the spot to be! No male dancers at this point, but they are rockin'!
Speeking For The Old Timer's Of The Portland Area, This Place Had Some Very Happenin Memories, I'm pleased to have the opportunity to share. As An Ex Dancer, This was' The Best Club' to work for back in the day,I had began here when there was only a jokebox, no d.j's yet,no fog machines, and no cover charge. it was the early 90's, and some of the old men that came in then had remembered mud wrestling here, and even pasties ! We where just about to open the upstairs area for the male review ! because there was no male review back then either ! And I Remember Leaving To Work For Another Club Just For About A Month Or Two, And Came Back For A Visit And Management Had Upgrade Everything,There Were Live Plants And Fog Machines, D.J.'s And It Was The Happenin Place In Town, The Girl's Were Like You Gotta Come Back,And So I Did, And Gained A Following. And It Wasn't just some other club with pretty girl's, everyone had their own image, and act, and put on a show, it was a circus sideshow, one danced with her pet snake a pithon, well pebbles and bambam had a fireshow, another with leather, piercings and tatt's, and halloween was a blast, I even recall working A New Years Eve,it was a great party. My Home For Many Years, I've Missed And Now Can't Believe It's No Longer !
BarFly management intentionally approved the previous spam comment because it thinks that "penis advantage" is a hilarious phrase.
I've worked at the Viewpoint on-and-off for many years, and for a long time it was home. I started as a dancer and made the switch to cocktailer and then on to bartender, and no one EVER got a shity drink from me. Like any bar some nights sucked, but if it did, it was because the vibe was off ( which is a reflection of its patrons). I'm sad to see it shut again and I wish Mark and his family the best. I look forward to seeing what the Viewpoint will become next.
Not the same. I used to go to the Viewpoint for the male revue. The guys were great! Last winter they had a falling out with the performers, which I don't understand. I have made visits there for friends parties and girls night out for over ten years, and that group was the best I had ever seen/met. They brought a new group of guy in last summer who where no where close to the previous, well with one exception, Remmington :). Anways, I was just told that they got an eviction notice last week for not paying their rent for almost a year!!! That explains a lot. I found out the guys that worked there before rund there own shows now...I think its called The American Male.
I've been to a few different clubs and this one is by far the best, the bar staff was amazing and the girl cooking made the best food me and my guys enjoyed every last bite. The dancers were excellent and they were all beautiful but danica is the one that is gonna keep me coming back she's sweet and sexy as hell and gives the best lap I've ever had its safe to say I'm in love in a non creeper way haha
I went to Viewpoint for a friends birthday just us girls, we went and watched the ladies perform; Destiny and Charlie were great to watch, they are beautiful. Then we saw this extremely hot guy walking around with a mohawk, wife beater, and holy jeans. We found out from the cocktail waitress he was a stripper upstairs, and we had no idea they had male dancers there. So we approached him to ask if he would dance for our birthday girl. He was the hottest sweetest male stripper I've ever met, Remington we loved you and I still remember the smell of your skin, your perfect smile. Needless to say he made our night esp the birthday girls night amazing, after we spent a couple hundred dollars on Remington, we were broke getting ready to get into the limo and then Remington bought us a round of shots! We love remington
I went here for a bachelorette party for a friend last saturday night! Can not tell you how much fun I had. We spent most of the night upstairs and thoroughly enjoyed Remington! He was a great entertainer and a very sweet guy! It was a great night for our bachelorette and we will definetly be going back for other special occasions. On the other hand, The bartender sucked! She was very rude. The drinks were pretty much $8 of ice with a splash of alcohol thrown in. Stick to beer or shots or you will be broke and sober all night!
came in last friday and had a blast....girls were super hot and friendly. I love Destiny and Charlie, there both so sexy and hilarious!!! And there minors!! We got great service and loved our waitress Crash so fun and energetic. Definetly gonna be coming back again and again
First off, this club is big and has many dancers, but maybe they should be more picky... Some of the dancers were pretty cute, mostly to generic for my taste though. I was really put off by a few snotty glares from some of the girls, especially because I had tipped them very well. Weird. I understand why most of the guys were watching from the bar now. I would have to say that this club is nothing special. I have been in a few times and the Dj is rather obnoxious and played exceptionally bad music. The service was Ok, the cocktailer flat out told my friend what he should tip. We both are servers and were kinda put off by that. I did get a couple dances at 40 bucks a pop and it was worth it. There are a few really sweet girls that I can tell are having fun but not enough to make it worth the trip back.
Came to this place on a last minute whim to blow off some stress from work. The dancers on this night were pretty decent looking, but not enthusiastic dancers. The drinks I had were a little too stiff, so it really threw off the balance of a good drink. The girls were friendly to me no one was rude and I wasn't pressured for drinks or private dances. Although I did get one. I paid $40 for a lap dance but the dancer contact rules were more liberal than other places I've visited. The place size is decent and there were more than a few dancers. I was in good company with the bartenders and waitress.
Then again the time you have will depend on you. If you open and outgoing and willing to make random conversation with random strangers you should be able to enjoy yourself.
I was recently there. We first headed up stairs where all the guys are. The guys were very good looking, but what ego trips. There where two annoying girls working the floor up there as well. Acting like there customers. One of them sat next to me and kept leaning over and quoting prices for things. It was making me uncomfortable. How she kept leaning over me. At one point I thought she might try to steal something from our table. I didn't ask nor care to know. I was just there to watch and maybe get a dance when I wanted it. One of the male stripers even went as far as almost having sex with one of the girls on the strip floor. It's not that this is such a big deal, but it was so trashy and he took her shirt off. You could totally tell that they were all working together. Which in the end ruined the environment for fun. They all pretty much just focused on those two girls the whole time. Didn't matter if you were holding up a one dollar bill or a fifty. The bartender was very very rude. For no reason that I could think of other than maybe he was having a bad night?. So then us girls headed down stairs to see some women. I personaly felt like the women put on a better show than the men. They don't judge, they just dance and are all so nice. Not just for tips. They are actually interested. It's nice. I stayed down stairs the rest of the time because of this.
I have to agree the place has deteriorated since I began going to this place. Not only the club but the quality of dancers as well. Maybe I'm just there at the wrong time, but the dancers don't seem interested in dancing.
I've been going to the Viewpoint for an occasional afternoon when I'm in town for a long time and have been through several different managements. This one doesn't seem to realize that when he cuts corners on things like heat and air conditioning he's killing his client base. At least this summer the air conditioning is being turned on -- hopefully they'll start doing the same for the heat in the winter. They've made a few improvements that seemed to take forever. The beer selection is now really good -- they got Fat Tire again and a good selection of other premium microbrews. Their current cook is mediocre -- not up to the last guy (George?)who'd been there forever. (Never a good sign when you lose your long-term service employees and can't keep the good new ones.) The girls generally consist of regulars who've been there for several years, and a few new faces who come and go. I have never felt I didn't get a fair money's-worth from the girls. The Candlelight Lounge has been moved and improved alot -- that's how they make their money, not from stage tips -- give it a try, it's worth the trip. But,I get tired of the DJ's who think they have to patrol the place like some sort of Nazi -- severely spoils my concentration.
Well, as you may or may not, be able to tell, from the subject title, I have spent an inordinate amount of time at the Viewpoint! I am friends with just about everyone there and will continue hanging out for quite sometime! I'm a huge fan of dark almost creepy places and this place fits the bill! It's replaced the Magic Garden's, as my home away from home, as it is much closer to my real one! I first came into this club a couple years ago and immediately liked it! The bartenders are fantastic and usually the prettiest women in the club! Since this is my main reason for going to clubs in the first place, drinking that is, I really appreciate having a great bartender! The dancers are fun to, but as I've said, that's not why I'm there. The new owner seems to be learning as he goes, which is a good sign, at least he can learn! Caio!
Neither I nor my wife had even been to a strip club before this one. She had a girl friend with more experience come along, just so we wouldn't feel totally lost, and her friend says it's the best one she's seen. It had both men and women, and the men especially put on an excellent show for the ladies in our group. Then she bought me a public lap dance with "maryland" who tied me to the pole and whipped me with a belt onstage for my wife's viewing pleasure. The drinks were a bit pricey, but mixed strong. Altogether, a wonderful night. Good for special occasions.
The service is slow except for one person and the dj's are rude. The strippers are wicked and out of shape(mostly). Management has their head in the clouds. No wonder this club is soooo.... dead.
Man this place is creepy. We went there on a weeknight recently and I think that I am still having weird nightmares. You know that one from twin peaks with the dancing dwarf talking backwards?
Anyway the girls were not attractive, the drinks were pretty bad (although the bartender was pretty cool), and I am pretty sure that a combination drug deal and domestic squabble was going down in one of those mid-late 80s model White Ford Econoline Vans in the parking lot next to my car.
Other than that a magical evening.
Arrive around 10PM on Wednesday night. The club has about dozen or more patrons. There club have 3 stages but only 2 dancers are dancing at a time (as expected for club of this size on a not-so-busy weekday). The six dancers in general are decent looking to kind of attractive; they range from slender to fuller figure while couples of them have cute face. There was very little "in your face" action for stage dances partly because the rack has raised edge which makes it hard for the dancers to lie on the rack and be creative. However, there are still ways to getting closer to the audience and very few of them do try to do that. The poles were also a foot in diameter so the dancers can't really climb or hang onto the pole like in other clubs. And the steaks are possibly one of the worse I’ve tried, they where extremely greasy and taste bland. The service was fairly prompt at the bar. There weren't any TV near by the stages but there are some video pokers if you're bored. I think the club is decent consider the number of dancers on the Wednesday night but the stage action is only mildly exciting.
Hey I had a great time at the View Point THe bartender was really nice and friendly and the dancers were great and especially Trinity and Angel because they came and set next to my buddy and I at our table and Trinity gave me the bday special of 2 dances for 1 and believe me they were awesome I will definitely have to consider going to that place again and I appreciated the hospitality as well the DJ bought me a drink as well It was great and a great time
I still say its the management. The guy with the accent especially. I think the girls are okay. I would buy a dance from sugar, although when I was there I didn't. I was so turned off by the people running it I left before I could.
This place sucks! Most of the women, or should I say girls look like anorexic pre-teens. Is that really the kind of girls portland wants? Sugar especially seemed to get all the attention with her "zero tits" and okay ass. What is up with that? If I were some dude in a relationship with this type of girl, that's a totally different story. At least I'll have made some sort of connection with the anorexic looking girl. If I'm going to pay to see a naked chick, I want something to look at other than another wall!
weak, over-priced drinks when i was there...$13.50 for a double vodka/redbull that was actually a single, i had three and didn't even get a buzz, but i did get a BIG surprise when i got the bill. i guess that's my fault for not asking, so i would suggest asking the price BEFORE you order. a couple hot girls, and only a few were truly entertaining. have the strippers ever heard of learning how to pole dance?
For a Monday maybe it was a fluke but this place was busy! Played the Texas Holdem and hung out with a "Avian"? The staff were approachable and friendly and they had well over a dozen girls on. This place is great! Thank you Alice for the great drinks.
We weren't sure what to expect when booking my best friend's Bachelorette Party here. Let's face it, there aren't many strip clubs for the ladies out there!! Having done Darcelle's before, we decided to give the Viewpoint a chance. We weren't impressed with the reservation process. It took numerous phone calls, from several different people, to get our party booked. Then booking the limo was whole other pain in the ass. However, once it was taken care of, everything else was GREAT! (Had it not been for the crappy reservation process, service would of been a '10'). We had Ectasy (Cory) drive us, and he's great!! He was so great, we selected him to give my friend her 'lap dance'. The other dancers were really good too. It happened to be a slow night, so we got LOTS of personal attention. The staff was friendly too, and drinks were great. If you're looking for a place to entertain ladies, go here BEFORE Darcelle's. You won't be disappointed!
Just wanted to say that this club was once my bread and water and now i wouldn't tell anyone that i worked there just wanted to say its all going down hill.
I went to the Texas Hold Em at this place this past weekend. Lost my shorts but had a great time. The service was ok, but the place looked great! I sat next to a guy that was cracking jokes and just hanging out. Had no idea who the hell he was until someone told me he was the owner. I had no idea! He was low key and interacted with everyone and everyone seemed to like him. The girls were attractive and we had topless dealers! That was a kick! All in all I had a great afternoon. As for "The Man" comment, geriatric people are afraid of change. Seniors like "the man" disparage others that have actually accomplished something in life. The owners have fought to make this club into a safe club for you to enjoy. I wish Mark the owner luck.
I am different. Unlike the last posts, I feel the place has improved greatly. The owner has been friendly and more then generous. A owner that walks in a club wearing a baseball cap, jeans and t-shirt kind of doesnt seem cocky to me. He even serves people and openly communicates with the patrons unlike most others in the industry. Now I am a nobody but I think the one that is laughing at everyone is the owner. Watching people like you give the club free advertising as you visit his establishment and spend your money. I am sure he is laughing ALL the way to the bank.
For an afternoon, I like The Viewpoint best in Portland, and I've visited most of the strip clubs. It's worth the trip just to see MONIQUE weekday afternoons. I've been going there for quite a few years, under different owners, and the new one is making a huge improvement, but the dance prices have gone up, too. It's still a very friendly place. Good selection of beers (Alice, the bartender is great!), and I've never had a bad lunch special. All the girls are friendly and willing to visit, but not pushy. It's a great place to relax for the afternoon or kill a few hours before a flight (Holiday Inn and Ramada are very close). Check it out. Nobody told me to post this -- I really like the place (and Monique)!
Well I just recently went back into the Viewpoint and its okay. The day time dancers are the ones I love, Maria, Baby K, Monique, and that makes the Viewpoint great but......... The owner is cocky which I guess is the same as the female owner that was not all there in the head. Atleast her management was nice and she had management that worked their asses off to make sure the customers where happy. I have no clue where the Viewpoint is going but who does. That place changes owners every year or two. Thank God for the dancers that can be on the floor and the bartender Alice who can pour a great beer and hold a conversation. To the owner, take the advice from a old timer pull the stick out your ass everyone is laughing at you!
Management sucks!! The girls are okay. The management sucks so bad it dosen't matter what the girls are like.
Bored with the buddies one night we decided to go slumming to Killingsworth. Wasnt the Viewpoint I remembered it to be. This place has cleaned up and the girls have gotten better looking. We ended up staying 2 more hours then we planned to. The drinks could be a little more geared towards us "blue collars" but pretty cool hangout! Didnt feel sleazy. I am going back and thanks Sugar for the dances!!!!!
Well the Viewpoint certainly feels "cleaner" than some, girl quality varies, but thankfully few of the retread trailer moms that are all too frequent in many clubs. Multiple dancers at times, and the have Dead Guy on tap! You could take yer dad here. Some of the girls will even have a real conversation. Table dances in a slightly private area. dark enough to not feel like your being watched, none of that ID photography that tell you a place has had olcc problems. dancers "KC" "monique" and "baby Kay" worth mentioning.
