BarFly's Review of Fireside
Mixology and charcuterie plates take over the old Music Millennium NW locale. Comfortable bi-level space with a huge hunting lodge-style fireplace up front, a shiny mod fireplace in back (both gas-fired), and lots of bar seating. Usually not too crowded, and it’s amusing to watch hapless first-timers as they try to find the hidden door to the bathroom.
Drinks ($8-$10) are rather overwrought, with more amaros, zests, falernums, and liqueurs than you can shake a swizzel stick (or fake log) at. Some of the food is also a reach, but you can always get a high-end burger ($12) or stick with the theme and order the artisanal s’more. A cozy enough place to contemplate the inevitable gentrification of everything.
Open 11:30am-10pm, Monday-Thursday, 11:30am-12am Friday and Saturday. Dark Sunday.
Happy hour: $6 house cocktails and wine/glass, $4 micros, 3-5:30pm, Monday-Friday.
