For more than a year now I have enjoyed coming to the Riverside Corral. It is a strip club close to home and it serves as another excuse to go into Sellwood. They advertise themselves to be like "Cheers with naked ladies", but I kind of see them almost like a homey and NC-17 version of Dixie Tavern.
The bar staff is very likable and offers a wide selection of drinks both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. I especially love the fact that they offer tea to drink, as I can only drink so much soda water in a night. Plus a hot drink to warm me up during the winter is always welcomed!
The dancers themselves are friendly and seriously take the stage when it comes to dancing. Sometimes they will perform gracefully, other times they will rock the pole hard. Besides their dancing, I enjoy how socially radiant they are. Not to mention that they always choose their music rather than rely on a DJ.
The bar itself has a vintage country feel to it. It feels like it has been around for decades, which is something I can appreciate. There are a couple of pool tables to enjoy, but I have yet to ask anyone to play. They have a nice back patio which I can enjoy for some fresh air. Then there are the private dance rooms which are fairly lavish.
The best thing I like about the Riverside Corral is that, unlike most strip clubs, it is in a neighborhood that is perfectly safe, clean, and close to home. It means I can enjoy strip clubs as a part of a weekly nightlife again with minimal risk. Plus, there is no doorperson at night, so admission is free (but you still need to buy a one-drink minimum!).
Whether you're into strip clubs or country bars, this "cowgirl bar" is the place to be!
These other reviews are old. I went here once years ago. Years ago it was bad. Today it ir one of the best clubs going. I keep going back. Bartenders that respond to a customer's need. Dancers that are beautiful. The dancers are so attractive it is difficult to decide on who to get a private from. So far lotus is my favorite. She makes my all time most attractive women list
Some of the most rude service I have ever had at the local strip clubs. The ill tempered, slovenly bartender was defensive at best and offensive as a rule. Will never waste my time on this dive again.
Place was slow. Which is great for patrons. No competition for private dances. May not compare to some other clubs for business., but the girls are nice and the bartender is great conversation. I really enjoyed myself because of the easy going atmosphere. Did not make me feel nervous at all. They had some pretty hot girls, but one girl was smoking. Corina, the girl to see. Had to stop paying for private dances because otherwise I thought I would fall in love. Didn't want to feel jelous. Matter of fact i did, so I had to bail. Everything about her is smoking. From her eyes to her toes. Sweet thing she is.
I went here on a 95 degree summer day a couple years ago. It was my first experience at a strip club. Got my first lap dance from Rose. Then got another! Great place, friendly. Been back a few times since.
Actually I like the bar in Sellwood. It has dancers that are not pushy, and the bartender is friendly. It has a variety of dancers the times I have been there, some good, some not so good. Not a loud dive, and the food is good. I noticed most of the ratings were done several years ago, and places do change.
If its a strip club......why do the strippers come out and take nothing off??? They dance to LAME techno music drop a towel and run off stage after a minute or so. The drinks suck...most of the guys were out enjoying the night air on the deck. says something for the girls!! Get Naked.....false advertising if you ask me
Walked in at around 11:30 on a Saturday night. One dancer, who left the stage right after we passed it. Tried to order a drink. No one was at the bar, waited about 5 minutes and left. One good thing...no cover.
two out of the three dancers were pretty. the third one was nice, but admittedly homely. unfortunately the prettiest dancer, once offstage was tied up with an old fat guy at a table. bartender was efficient and friendly. overall, not unpleasant, but not outstanding either.
$1 pocket pussies out of the bathroom vending machine. Bikers. Older, for dancers, girls stripping. Not necessarily a bad thing. They tend to give better lap dances. It's all good.
Cool little spot... right on "the river" indeed, near Oaks Park. We were there recently on a 95 degree day and they have meat locker type AC cranking. One stripper was playing country music though, so if that is definitely not your thing, be forewarned. The girls are not bad looking and are pretty friendly. The main drawback is location. Sellwood is not really convenient to most folks.
Me and my buddies stopped off at this place after a couple of hours at the Acrop and were lovin' some of the hotties at this place more. I had a lot of fun here.
I love this strip bar! This was the first one I went to when I moved to Portland a few years ago, and it was still great when I returned last year. It's not a "gentleman's club," but it's not a nasty dive, either. It's just a good bar, where there happen to be beautiful naked women on stage. You can go to watch the show, or just hang out and play pool . . . it's relatively comfortable either way.
