BarFly's Review of Trio Club
The former location of The Galaxy (torn down in 2012) is now Trio Club (opened Spring 2013).
A decent attempt at a Vegas-style club, but it seems a bit out of place in Portland. Dress code for men, spendy drinks, cover charge; all the trappings of a real club in a big ol' city rolled into a karaoke bar on lower Burnside.
If you want to pretend you're in NYC for a night, go for it, but let's face the facts: You didn't move to Portland for its glamor quotient.
Open 11am-2:30am, Monday-Friday, 5pm-2:30am Saturday-Sunday.
$1 off top shelf, $3.5-5 well, $3.50 micros, $5 house wine, $6 bartender's daily, $5 menu, 3-7pm, Monday-Friday.
TV x 5.
Strict dress code: no baggy clothes or "street styles" for men. Collared shirts required (and are available on loan, at the door.)
Mondays: Server industry night, karaoke, get your S.I.N. on half price, 10pm-12pm
Tuesdays: Stay in tune litterally contest!
Wednesday: Free couples and line dance lessons, 7:30pm, karaoke, 9pm
Thursdays: International karaoke, drink specials and karaoke, 9pm
Friday: Dance club in the black room, salsa in the white room and international karaoke in the gold room
Saturday: Dance all night in the black and white ballrooms and sing your heart out in the gold room
Sunday: El tres, latin edm, starting international karaoke, 9pm

I cant believe Portland doesn't know about what this place does on Monday Nights!! Absolutely the best Service Industry Promo in town! They do half off all Food and Bev (including Top Shelf) from like 8pm-11pm. The bartender (Gary, Greg, something) was amazing, great drinks and lots of fun... he even throws a few things around and does tricks like they do in Las Vegas. All you need is an OLCC or Food Handlers permit to qualify for the discount. Best place to party on Mondays (if in the Industry)...
Portland has needed a club like this for years now. It looks & feels like an upscale Vegas nightclub. Karaoke is the main rooms entertainment, system is phenomenal but there are 2 other huge rooms that they do DJ & can have private parties in. 9,000 sq feet of beautiful, upscale decor. AMAZING lighting & sound. Classy people. Pricey drinks but that's what keeps the riff raff out, I gladly pay a little extra for drama free company & great service. The food is gourmet at it's best. Don't miss out on the cheesecake! Amy the mgr is not notch and the owner.... Best business owner I've ever met! This guy know what he's doing. Extremely personable and accomadating. If you want a beautiful, exciting new place to show off to your friends and have a great time in Portland, this is your place!!!
