Local Photographer/Author Kindly Asks For Your Vote
For those that have read my blog by now know that I published a book this past year about the history behind the bars of Portland. "Shots of Portland" was a good success in self-publishing terms. Bud Clark and Don Younger, notables in the pub-world of Portland picked up a few copies themselves.
Now I have entered the book in a contest to help gather a small endowment to complete my next book, Streets of Portland. A photography book as well, this one will tell the history behind the names given to the most prominent streets in Portland. You can cast your vote by clicking here (and if you aren't already registered for the site, it is just like signing up for an Amazon account... without the spam. And if registering isn't your thing, no worries. I just wanted to see how much support I could gather from those in this city who help make it such a great place to live and photograph).
Thanks in advance to those who cast their votes... in this small contest, every vote makes a difference.
If you are one of the many people who purchased the book over the past year, or have just been reading the stories I wrote and posted here from several of the bars featured in the book, feel free to share thoughts and comments, I would love to hear from anyone out there in the city tonight.
