It will be interesting once we can text message from our cellphones or even upload images in real-time to the PDXbars blog. I went to the Basil Bar, which is actually an annex to the Sweet Basil restaurant on NE 32nd and Broadway. I enjoyed its thai jungle theme complete with low lit wrap around. Instead of the usual European smoked wood (think Horse Brass), you're greated by a humid misty jungle along with a low key intimacy not usually found with the complete wrap-around. I ventured in here during a liquid lunch and so was unable to check out this place at night, but the Thai food was exceptional and the service would make the lotus flower bloom.
