“A baby seal walks into a club...”

If you think I’m funny, then I hope you brought enough to share, because the Bridgetown Comedy Festival makes its debut next week - Thursday, March 6th through Saturday, March 8th! Patton Oswalt, Tig Notaro, Eddie Pepitone, Brent Weinbach, Howard Kremer, Chris Fairbanks, Guys with Feelings, and over sixty comedians from all over the country will descend on Portland for what will surely be the first of a new PDX annual tradition!

Did I mention it’s a fundraiser? For the Oregon Red Cross Local Disaster Relief Fund (have any friends in Vernonia?). We’re doing wristbands for all shows, all three days, for only $20, but you’ve got to order them RIGHT NOW. Or else. Get on it, peeps!


Bridgetown is going to be great - did I mention me? No, I’m not going to debut my long-awaited stand-up routine. I do have a tiny shred of self-esteem, you know. But, yes, yours truly is one of the karmically-enhanced organizers of this certified laugh (laff?) riot. Bridgetown is the brainchild of Andy Wood and Kim Brady, and I’m the cool aunt who taught it how to smoke and give blow jobs. Having a trade is important. Kick your seasonal affective disorder to the curb, swinging from club to club along Southeast Hawthorne, checking out the simultaneous comedy cavalcades on six stages at Mount Tabor Legacy, The Hawthorne Theater, Bar of the Gods, The Tanker (the Stumble Zone’s newest hotspot - fingers-crossed, it’ll be open by Friday!), and the Eagles’ Lodge.
