Dearest Darlings:

I am very excited to say that today is the first live music T.G.I.BarFly! We've got the extra-witty, ineffably charming, alarmingly catchy songs of Rian O'Hara, performed by none other than Rian O'Hara himself!

We'll be at Belmont Inn, which despite being a seminal rock venue back in the proverbial day, has heard nary a note of live music in its hallowed hall, since way back 'round '97. Why, even a carpetbagger such as myself managed to land on Portland's fair shores (I'm a vintage 1994 émigré), in time to catch Elliot Smith there and, okay, Everclear, too (and, they were good - there, I said it).

But, anyhoo, back to Rian - did I mention he's hilarious? He is!

You should probably listen to his song 'Spandex' right now - particularly if you have an inner seething resentment of those serious-as-Lance Armstrong's-ball-cancer bike riders. You're amongst friends, go ahead, let it out!

T.G.I.BarFly is BarFly's new Friday happy hour pop-up party, rocking and rolling into a new bar, every week. On Friday, June 10th, T.G.I.BarFly pops up at Belmont Inn, at 3357 SE Belmont.
