Portland’s Motorcycle and Music Communities Say Farewell to One of Their Own

Portland, OR (April 12, 2009) – A memorial service for Daniel Baldwin will take place at Bossanova
Ballroom, Sunday April 12th noon – 3pm to celebrate the life of a beloved member of Portland’s
motorcycle and music community. Dan Baldwin passed away early Saturday morning the 28th of
March while riding his motorcycle after being struck by a drunk driver. Known as “Hippy Dan”
amongst his friends and Flying 15 Motorcycle Club members and “Quality Dan” by the music
community that supported his band Power of County, Dan will be missed.

A true friend to many, Dan’s heart was full of compassion, creativity, inspiration, love and curiosity.
He enjoyed being in nature, whether it was on his motorcycle, building trails, playing music around a
campfire, or just soaking up the beauty.

The afternoon will be a kid-friendly event including a slide show, ongoing music and a potluck. The
stage will be open for various musicians to perform tributes to Dan. We encourage members of the
music community to bring instruments and join in the festivities. Memorial organizers also invite
friends and loved ones to submit photos to the above email for inclusion in the slide show.

About Daniel Baldwin:

Born Daniel Warren Baldwin on March 11th 1966 to Mr. and Mrs. Warren and Eleanor Baldwin of
Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Dan is survived by both parents and his sister Ruth Churak. Ruth and her
husband reside in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey with their children Max, Kevin and Emily. Dan was
very close with his late Grandfather Norman H. Nye.

Dan’s parents are accepting donations in Dan's name under the memorial they have set up for Dan's
