Ban Smoking in Bars

I saw a recent poll about how people feel about a statewide ban on smoking bars on KGW. 64 some odd percent responded that they favor it. View Poll

Since when have Oregonians decided to emulate socialist states like California? So for all you fucking Nazis who think regulating someone's business is a good use of time consider this: Smoking is not a right and it's not a first Ammendment issue. Equally, you don't have a single right to be in someone's bar, it's a choice you make to go there/work there.

(1)Smoking causes cancer and stinks. No one is arguing that.
(2)Bars are privately owned, you don't have to go there.
(3)More and more bars are electively going non-smoking, which is a very sound business decision given the fact that a majority of adults in DO NOT smoke. You create the demand, and it's being met.
(4)Protecting the workers? Fuck the worker, they smelled/saw all the smoke when they applied. There is a reason I don't juggle sharp knives for a living, it's mainly because I don't like the idea of a knife in my damn eye.

Perhaps a better use of your time would go towards banning it on PUBLICLY owned property, you are the majority, you pay the most taxes, you have the majority voice on what sort of behavior should be allowed on our streets. Regulating privately owned businesses and eliminating the need for personal responsibility is not the answer to health problems in the US.

God, I fucking hate you.
