Ordinarily, promoting other people's Bus Tours is not sound business, but since we don't have a BarF Bus tour this weekend, and there is a good cause that involves helping kids with book learnin', I figured I wouldn't be a total heartless bastard. Also, Trivia Jock Shanrock, the who hosts the best Portland Trivia Nights across the land will be doing her bit on this bad boy.

The Back to School Bus Crawl is from 7pm - 1am, starting and ending at the Low Brow Lounge (1036 NW Hoyt St). The Crawl is a benefit for First Book, an all volunteer group that raises money to buy books for low-income kids. Tickets are $25. There will be some rounds of trivia with our favorite trivia master, Shanrock, plus we're being joined by Courtenay Hameister, host of OPB's Live Wire radio show, and Allison Frost, host of OPB's Oregon Considered. See? Events that involve good causes don't have to involve a bunch of pantywaists who play bad folk music, talk softly, and serve vegan cookies as the sole source of refreshments. Sometimes, you can actually be debaucherous and do a good deed combined.
