I just heard a horrible rumor that Slabtown has been purchased and the entire staff is getting canned. If you believe the rumors it was purchased by the the owner of Eagle PDX, or some brewery guy. I'm afraid of what would be come of this "NoLo" icon. I'm only imaging the travesty that could happen if a brewpub guy got ahold of it. Would it be turned into another Pearlized bar of generic sterility with overpriced, undersized food, and cheesedick patrons that make Portland's lamest hipsters palatable. I'll try to dig up the scoop.
