After this mornings rant about the Dixie Tavern Dipshit DJ, I was so angry that I just had to blow off virtual steam by wasting time surfing sites like Fark.com. Lo and behold, there be a link to BikePortland's article about the stolen ghost bike. I don't read BikePortland much, it's too uptight for my tastes, but I feel kind of bad when local sites are handed a huge sudden influx of traffic and they aren't prepared for it. Fark is known for sending incredible amounts of traffic in a very short time span, and it will crush web servers that aren't prepared.

Come to think of it, BarFlyMag.com would also probably be brought to it's knees with with the volume of traffic that Fark sends.
