Wanna be the envy of PBR enthusiasts of Portland?  Come to The Slammer tonight at 7:30 to play trivia, and get a free raffle ticket.  Immediately after the pub quiz, we'll have a drawing, and the winner will cruise out of the bar on a brand new official Pabst bicycle!  And if you're lucky, there might be a hot game of Dare Jenga afterward.

During tomorrow's pub quiz at Peter's 19th Hole, I'll be doing my "Potato Power" TV trivia round on DVD.  This will be the first time I've used video clips for my pub quizzery, and I think it'll be lots of fun.  They have nice big TVs at Peter's, so this will probably be a recurring round at this venue.  Come, have lovely cocktails served to you by the even lovelier Jackie, whom my triviologists elected as their Favorite Bartender at the 2007 Clash of the Trivia Titans.  Showtime is 8:00.

Also, the good people at the relatively new Third Eye Theatre have kindly supplied me with tickets to their current production of Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize winning "Buried Child."  Y'know, Sam Shepard, the guy that played Chuck Yeager in "The Right Stuff" and co-wrote "Cowboy Mouth" with The Great Patti Smith . . .

. . . who is NOT to be confused with the mediocre Patty Smyth . . .  

For a free ticket to "Buried Child," stick around after each pub quiz, and I'll do a mini-round of trivia and award a ticket to the winner.  Or . . . you know, just go on down to the theatre on Hawthorne and buy one on your own.  The show is running through mid-April.
