I have an overly sentimental attachment to an old favorite bar that no longer exists - Vic's Willamette View. I like a good neighborhood bar, but I wish bars with multiple screens of sports would consider switching just one or two sets to either a movie or some other infotainment, maybe the history channel or animal planet? If it's not a Blazers game, I could give a fuck. At times I'm the anti-social (or is it just quiet?)guy at the end of the bar with a novel in hand or jotting in a notebook. At other times I'm the guy sitting next to you who is speaking all to easily and with far too much familiarity and honesty of personal matters and perhaps daring to broach the subject of politics. It can be a gamble, but I do enjoy passionate thoughtful discussion. If you're a cute chick, I might talk you up, get your number and never call you. I enjoy bars within biking distance, and would like to try to get out downtown more often.
